Breast Cancer Facts

Breast Cancer awareness month become official in 1985 with the help of Betty Ford.

Every 13 minutes a woman dies from breast cancer.

12.6% of women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.

Breast cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in women between the ages of 15 and 54.

The best chance of survival is when the cancer is detected early. This can be done with a mammogram before signs and symptoms are even noticed.

A woman is never too young to develop breast cancer. Screenings should begin by the age of 20.

Women are not the only victims.  Men and children can fall prey to this deadly illness as well.

Giving A Little Is Giving A Lot

In today's times, people find it hard to come up with the money to help these good causes. However, more and more places are making it easier to give back. Doing something as simple as sending in a yogurt lid or donating your broken car doesn't seem like a lot, but it all adds up in the end. No matter what you do or how much you give, it all matters. So, do whatever you can do!
