My Hupages Journey: The Second Month

Well, here I am, in the second month of my Hubpages journey. My first month was fun and enjoyable and I have to admit that my second month is much of the same. I am just having a blast sharing my writing with those that take the time to read it. I have grown as a writer in the short time that I have been here.

I had a few nice surprises this month. Two of my hubs were nominated for a Hubnugget. The hub titled Come Swing With Me was nominated early in the month. Even though it performed well in the contest, it did not win. I was still honored with the nomination. However, my hub titled Parenting A Deaf Child did win. That hub was nominated toward the end of the month. I am honored that others find my writing interesting enough to share with others. There are so many other talented writers here at Hubpages.

I have found many writers to be very interesting and helpful. I would like to take the time to point them out and thank them for helping me feel so welcomed here. Take a moment to read their work, as each of them brings something different to the community. There are many, many more people that should be on this list, however I could not include everyone...if you have helped me in anyway, I thank you from the bottom of my heart!

A great guy to get to know. An insperational soul with a kind heart. His poems are just as wonderful as he is. Thank you Hokey for being the first person that I have really gotten to know here.

My first fan! Ever since she has read my work and given sound advice and support. It was her action of fanning me that really encouraged me to keep writing during those first few days. Thanks cheryl for being my first fan!

I have not made much more money online than I did during my first month, however I am still not discouraged! This is my 26^th hub. I have generated about $3.00 in Adsense and $0.00 with Amazon. I am getting ranked on Google and about half of my hits a day come from the big search engine. I have been doing more and more research and am about to start a blog. It is not up and running as of yet, but it is getting there. I am taking my time so that everything works like it should. That, and I am a big procrastinator!

I do wish that I could write more, but sometimes life gets in the way. My husband and I just bought our first home and that consumed a lot of our time. We are finally in and settled so I can really get back to my writing. I have several ideas.....be on the look out!

Sadly, that is all I am able to report for this month, as much did not take place. Hopefully, next month I have bigger news for you all. I have entered the two month mark, there is still much to learn! Onward I go....
